The Redirecting of My Life

God Does Speak to Us

After seeing a scene in a video, about how Matthew West was inspired to write the song The Motions, where Matthew was holding a dry erase board that said:” God has something to say, to us and through us.” I just could never forget that quote, it stuck me that I wasn’t really listening to what God has to say to me, what he has planned to use me to his salt and light in this world. So I started to open my heart and soul more, some awe striking things happen. It was like I was recieving some sort of sign from God. During on of our meeting for the mission team that is going to Africa this summer, we were trying to figure out what we wanted to discuss at a teen rally, we were planning on having in Eldoret. Jeremy Voss discribe a new way of looking at holiness, he said being holy does’nt necessarily mean being without sin, because that is impossible for a human. But to be holy is to not be of this world, a different being, standing out from others. I immediately  thought of a sign I had seen posted on a wall in the deaf class room that said:”Not a Deaf Culture, Not a Hearing Culture, But a Christian Culture” I really thought it would be great if we could discuss this with the teens at the rally. But I was stuck I couldn’t think of any scripture that would go with this topic, so I thought maybe I’ll do some research later. But the same night as I was putting some things away and my bible, I had just recieve in from my Church, fell to the floor. So I picked it up and look at what page it was on, it was on 1 Corinthians 12, the first heading I saw was One Body, Many Parts. I was in awe and soo shocked, that the one scripture I needed was revealed to me. God is constantly speaking to us in many different ways all we have to do is open our eyes, ears, heart, and soul to what he has to say.
